L.E.S. Thai Food & Power Cleans

Breakfast: 

  • 2 JUMBO eggs
  • 3 thick slices bacon

Lunch at Hi Thai in the Lower East Side:

I’ve been to this restaurant a few times after meetings in the area for work, and it rocks. The green curry is off the friggin chain. Probably not strict paleo, but close enough for me when getting drug around by my co-workers, and honestly… fucking delicious! There are quite a few things on the menu that work for a close-to-paleo option while on the go, you just need to sub your rice for extra veggies. 

  • Tom Yum Soup w/ chicken
  • Thai Green Curry w/ shrimp (no rice)

Dinner/Pre-lifting:

  • 8oz steak
  • 1 banana
Texas Method – Week 3 – Recovery Day 

Squat: 2×5 @ 150#
Press: 3×5 @ 60#

Was feeling really good today so I thought I’d throw in my power cleans and a little conditioning while I was feeling energetic.

Kettle bell Swings: 3×15 @ 24kg
Power Cleans: 5 ascending triples up to 45Kilos (this was a PR, though super duper easy.)


An official upgrade to yellow plates!
It’s been fun greens, but I must be movin’ on.
(We can still chill for warm ups)

Post-lifting:

  • 2 scoops whey
  • 1 banana

Dessert

  • 1/2 cup strawberries & blueberries
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
