Another fantastic day in the gym. Things were feeling really awesome today. Snatches kinda sucked but… it’s only the 4th time I’ve done them over the past year, so I’m not too concerned. My back was pretty fucking sore from deadlifting yesterday (not in a “broken” kinda way, just in a worn out kinda way), so that made the snatches extra challenging. All in all everything felt good and I was really happy with my training session.
CUBE Accessory Day
Chin Ups: 3 sets of 10 with bands to help
Snatches: 5 sets of 5 @ 20Kilos. Super light, focused on sitting down and doing a full snatch rather than a power snatch. It was hard to go fast.
Overhead Press: Worked up to a heavy single at 80#. This matched my current PR and felt good.
Push Press: 3 sets of 5 @ 85#
Push Jerk: 2 sets of 2 @ 95# The second set was more of a push press than a jerk.
Conditioning: 5 sets of 15 KB swings @ 16kg. 10-15 seconds rest between sets.
